My Blog is where I share my interest in cloth dollmaking. Please comment on my work, ask questions, and we can inspire each other! I am passionate about needle sculpting and developing new techniques and designing new patterns, so everyone can 'have a go'! I hope you will follow my blog and see what I can come up with that's new, and interesting!

Here is a prototype of the doll I intend to make as a pattern this year! I call it travelling light! The pattern doll will be different of course, as I made this in muslin, but I just loved the movement and attitude she presents. I hope you will make some cvomments on it and klet me know what you think, or if i should make any changes? Always interested to hear!

I love it - wouldn't she be cute carrying a sewing machine :)
The detail is so wonderful! She would make a great pattern. BTW - I like muslin, I can always find it here in LEX, KY
Yes, muslin is great, but for an expressive needlesculpted face, you do need something with a little more stretch, unless yu are going for a more serious looking face. The other thing I struggle with is getting the colours right with it - unless it was dyed, in which case - I might as well use something with a bit more stretch in it! I do know how hard it is to get the right fabric though.
