Here is a pattern for Bottoms, which includes jeans, straight leg pants, shorts, miniskirt, straight skirt and flared skirt. If you double click on the drawings, they should print out at the correct size.

Here is an alternative leg option for Krista.  If you want to paint flat shoes on her,k or make shoes for her, or have bare feet, this is the option to use.  Remember you can just sew the leg position if you don;t want to move them.  She will at least stand properly!  You can also use wire armature if you wish, for a stronger leg.

Design your own clothes for Krista!

This is a pattern for a variety of tops that can be used as tops vest or dress tops. I have drawn out a variety of necklines to trace out. The sides can be straight or fitted. You can make a bra. Or an evening dress strapless or with straps. Round, vee, square or heart shaped neckline. Three different waist lengths. I advise making an initial top from calico first to try for fit. The pattern may need adjusting to fit your doll.• To make a dress, follow the line down with a ruler to the length you wish. Make it longer so you can adjust for hems.


• You can make the dress all in one piece, in which case, follow that dart right down to a point. Or you can make a two piece.

• You can use this pattern to make contemporary clothing or historical clothing and underwear.

• The sleeves show two different shapes. The top one will make the sleeves puffier.

• To make them even puffier, extend the line under the arm out by a few cms and add another line above the one I have drawn. Adjust the side line accordingly.

• The lower line will make the sleeve more fitted.

• Look at fashion sites for ideas, and sewing sites for sewing techniques.

This is an art doll I made called Percival Ponce! He's an Aristocrat and rather full of himself. His clothing is mostly gathered and wrapped. The only sewing in the clothing is in the vest and necktie. He's all cloth with a wire armature. Modified from my pattern of Jessie &Jack.

Thought I'd have a go at something fantastical!  Designed the snail and made a pattern for it, but the doll was a free pattern.

Pin Happy Pig!

I've just finished putting together my pattern of Pin Happy Pig - a pincushion.  He's turned out rather well with a little soft sculpting to make him cute!  I could have called him Piercey Pig!  He's easy to make and a fun pincushion that's very practical!

Class 3 starting 20th April to the end of May 2010

We are starting a new class and this time the group want to make a doll from a pattern they have.  We will have one new person start this week too, so this will make six in the group.

Here is a close up of Carol's doll Felicity.  Isn't she Glam?  I love her outfit!  Carol's great with dress design - well done!

Here is the line-up of dolls made from my pattern "Krista".  Iasn't it wonderful how one pattern can get so many different looks?  Fascinating!  There is still one to come yet and I'll post it as soon as it gets finished.  These are from right: Carol's doll Felicity, Adrianne's doll Sandy, Jean's doll Fiona. Jackie's doll Skye and my original Krista.  Olive's doll is yet to come and yet to be named!

This is the latest doll I've made and I wish it was my pattern - it's so good!  It's by Colleen Babcock and is loaded with exciting possibilities!  I loved making it and I may even keep it!  I'll certainly make more! 

I've been experimenting with toys for littlies and made this little blue something for Claudia.  It's small enough to hold but it was a nonsense toy I made to give her for easter.  When I got home, I decided to try something elose with the same pattern and came up with Miss Claudie!  So I'm working on the pattern now! 

Yes this pattern will be ready soon and it will have a template for the face!  The shoes and socks are painted on.  This doll is the size 7 inches high.  Her hair is made from felt.  she's small enough for a baby to hold - and toss out of the cot like my little granddaughter Claudia, (the dolls samesake) does!  LOL!
